Molly Holly on Refusing Performance Center Coach Offer

Molly Holly is a future WWE Hall of Famer and one of the greatest performers of her time. She competed during the Divas era of WWE. Back then, women were not taken very seriously, but Molly Holly was still a great performer and could wrestle very well.

Molly Holly will be inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2021. The announcement was made on the 10th of March. According to reports, she was asked to join the WWE Performance Center as a coach. However, Holly declined the offer which may have surprised many WWE officials.

On Talkin Sass Podcast, she spoke about why she declined the offer and will not work as a coach inside the WWE Performance Center.

Molly Holly on Refusing a WWE Performance Center Offer

“Yes they have [asked me to coach at the Performance Center] and I just don’t want to.

It sounds terrible but I’m just — I’m so far removed from that world. I don’t want to be this like a grizzled, bitter, jaded trainer who is like, I don’t know. They need to have trainers who are passionate about pro wrestling, who love the psychology of it because you can meet certain people in the indies or people who used to work for WWE or people who do work for WWE and they just light up when their creative juices are going and they’re like, ‘Oh, you could do this, you could do that,’ and it’s like, those are the kind of people you need to have as a trainer.

Even though back in the day, I might’ve had skills or experience as a trainer, I’m not at that place now where I feel excited about doing that type of job”. There are many WWE legends that are currently working as coaches at the WWE Performance Center.

Many of them have helped produce some of WWE’s top stars that we see today. However, it is also true that many legends could possibly be working there just for the paychecks as they can’t compete inside a WWE ring anymore.

Molly Holly has always been a star in WWE and since her last proper role in the WWE ended in 2005. She has made small appearances for WWE here and there but never really returned to the world of wrestling properly. Since she has spent a long time away from the world of professional wrestling, she probably believes it is not a good idea to just appear and not add proper value.

We do not know about what Molly is doing currently, but it appears that her life outside of WWE is good enough to make her want to stay away from the very tough world of professional wrestling.
