In recent weeks with the NXT women's category, there have been several steps forward, with the General Manager of the yellow show even presenting the first historical belts of tag team champions of the yellow roster, after seeing Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler go to win the titled match against Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez, in a very unsportsmanlike way.
After having officially awarded the titles to the very first champions of the WWE third roster, the winners of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, precisely Kai and Gonzalez, to sensationally win the belts of tag team champions on their first occasion, were instead Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart, who shocked the NXT audience, reversing the situation after just a few minutes.
In her latest interview with GiveMeSport, NXT tag team champion, as well as former WWE yellow roster overall champion, Ember Moon, wanted to reveal to her fans how the idea of returning to fight on Wednesday night's third roster, it was his own, with the request coming from the girl and which was announced directly to Triple H, who was delighted with this decision.
Ember Moon had a good run in NXT
To the microphones of the site, Ember Moon, in fact, shared: "I just started looking around and I didn't feel like I was very much in line with Raw, nor did I feel like I was in line with Smackdown - but NXT, well that's where I've always felt comfortable.
So I went to a meeting with Triple H and just described how I felt. He just said to me, 'Okay, if this is something you really want, hell, I'd love to have you back. But we'll see, because everyone already adores you up there Honestly, the first phone call I made was not to my husband, nor to any of my friends - it was to Triple H.
I got a message from Triple H saying welcome home, we got you back. And I was like, 'Yeah, I'm coming back baby' and so it ended up filming another week of skits because they asked me what I wanted to do to get back." If you're enjoying the Tian Sha storyline in WWE NXT, so is Triple H, which means it isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, both Triple H and Shawn Michaels are very high on the Tian Sha gimmick. Both men believe the storyline has legs and a "long-term future" with the black and gold brand. Backstage sources within NXT also told Sapp that Triple H and Michaels are very hands-on with the gimmick's presentation that is seen almost every week.
