In the last episodes of NXT aired as usual on the American TV channel, USA Network, WWE has put a lot of meat on the fire in view of one of the most anticipated events of the year, the Wrestlemania Week, which as every year will also include the TakeOver that precedes the Showcase of the Immortals.
After jumping last year, with the global pandemic blocking all plans of WWE and the world's biggest pro-wrestling companies, McMahon's third roster is now ready to steal the show in this week dedicated to great wrestling, with not one but two evenings dedicated to NXT, which will be broadcast on the next 7 and 8 of April, with the first evening being broadcast live on USA Network, while the second will instead go live only on the WWE Network and therefore on Peacock TV in the USA.
Adam Cole and Kyle O'Reilly took their feud to another level earlier today, and NXT General Manager William Regal is none too happy about it. In the last episode of NXT aired in the night, as always in competition with AEW's Dynamite, WWE wanted to close the episode with yet another face to face between Adam Cole and Kyle O'Reilly, the two former members of Undisputed Era, who until a few weeks ago seemed very close in the ring and now they are bitter enemies.
Immediately after the Wednesday night program ended, however, the two athletes continued to tease each other in the WWE CWC rings, with the federation cameras that although they were no longer live with USA Network, they still continued to shoot for the Youtube channel of the Stamford-based company.
WWE superstar assaults William Regal after NXT
During the off-air, O'Reilly kept calling out Adam Cole, to a direct face-to-face in the ring, with the former NXT Champion initially not wanting to look into the apron and then appeared instead, trying to go and physically attack his opponent.
Obviously, to try to stop the two, several security officers and also the General Manager of the show, William Regal, thought about it, but he was physically involved in the diatribe between the two wrestlers, being deliberately hit in the face by Adam Cole.
In the video below, you can see how Cole punches the former wrestler in the face, knocking him to the ground. Who knows what kind of punishment the former NXT Champion might now face after hitting one of the top executives on WWE's third roster? As you can see in the video, Kyle O’Reilly got back in the ring and he wanted to rip Adam Cole apart.
He called out Cole, but he didn’t emerge. Finally Adam Cole did come out, but he had plenty of people trying to stop him. William Regal ended up taking a shot from Cole, and he didn’t look happy. This was an intense segment that the company later put up on YouTube as exclusive content. It didn’t air on this week’s show. You can check it out below.
