Update on why Keith Lee has been off WWE TV

Keith Lee seemed to be one of the athletes most launched towards the next edition of WrestleMania, but as you can see from watching the WWE shows he has been away from the screens for two months now. The speculations about him have been really a lot, but according to Fightful Select the former NXT athlete may have been temporarily kept away from the various shows due to health problems and the federation would not have in mind the day of his return yet, because he wants to be totally sure of its condition, before proceeding to use it.

Keith Lee is trying to get cleared to return to WWE

Former NXT champion Keith Lee was supposed to fight in the Elimination Chamber in the Triple Threat against Bobby Lashley and Riddle, but his health problems made it impossible for the normal course of this contest, which then saw the figure of John Morrison inside, which was pinned by Riddle, allowing the latter to get his hands on the belt until then held by the current WWE champion, the all-powerful Bobby Lashley.

At this point, it would seem really unlikely to predict a presence of Lee in that of WrestleMania 37, in a historic edition for the world of WWE and pro-wrestling in general, as it will be the first WWE show open to the public after the closing of several arenas due to the ongoing pandemic.

However, if he were to be able to recover, his contribution to Andrè The Giant Battle Royal could be really important, with the favors of the eve that could really throw themselves headlong into his name, certainly among the most accredited within the various roster of the federation with based in Stamford.

If the various rumors were to be confirmed, we can only wish Keith a good recovery, hoping to see him as soon as possible inside the square to delight us with his usual performances. Unfortunately, that never occurred due to these health issues, and he was replaced in the match by John Morrison.

This led to Riddle capturing the United States Championship for the first time. At this point, it seems highly unlikely that Keith Lee will be able to return to WWE in time for WrestleMania. But even if he were able to, he would probably only be able to get in a match like The Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

All of the main matches for this year's card are presumably locked in at this point on the road to WrestleMania. Whatever the health issue, everyone here at Sportskeeda wishes Keith Lee a speedy recovery, and we look forward to seeing him return to the squared circle as soon as possible.
