Just a few weeks away from the biggest annual event for wrestling fans, the Road to WrestleMania 37 has begun and the WWE has well or badly outlined the card of the two evenings, which will be held in Tampa, next 10 and 11 April.
It will be a fundamental event for the company because it will coincide with the return to the stands of WWE Universe fans, absent from the shows for over a year now, due to this serious pandemic that has affected us all.
One of the most anticipated events is certainly the match valid for the SmackDown Women's Championship between the reigning champion Sasha Banks and the winner of the Royal Rumble 2021 Bianca Belair. All fans are expecting a great match, one of the most important at a female level in recent years.
Recently, in Fastlane's Pay Per View, the two wrestlers had a fight while fighting like a couple and their challenge for the show of the Immortals is now outlined.
Sasha Banks turned on Bianca Belair at WWE Fastlane
After beating 29 women at the Royal Rumble Bianca Belair has a very big chance and the wrestler talked about this match during an interview with GiveMeSport: "I've seen several people talking about it and posting about it, many want my and Sasha Banks' match to be the main event of the first night of WrestleMania 37.
The WWE Universe strongly believes in this and I sincerely hope it will happen. I would love to be part of the Wrestlemania Main Event, this has always been my dream. It's already a great thing to create a contest between two black wrestlers and seeing us in the Wrestlemania Main Event would be fantastic.
We are two alpha women and I don't see why we can't deserve to be part of the main event, I think we would make history." Many have said that the preparation for the storyline of this match was not extraordinary, but at the same time, they think that this match can have a great impact.
At WWE's most recent pay-per-view, Fastlane, Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair had one more shot at the Women's Tag Team Championships against Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax. Their previous title shot at Elimination Chamber was ruined when Reginald tried to get involved in the action.
At Fastlane, Bianca Belair attempted to help The Boss during the match. However, this backfired when Nia Jax threw Belair onto Sasha Banks and Baszler, opening up the opportunity for Sasha Banks to be pinned. After the match, the friendship between the two, which had been tense in recent weeks, came to a head, with the SmackDown Women's Champion berating her tag partner and slapping her in the ring. Bianca Belair was left alone in the ring and determinedly pointed at the WrestleMania sign.
