According to his wife Tracy James, Road suffered a heart attack.

She wrote about it on Facebook: “I want to thank everyone for the prayers and texts. Brian most likely suffered a heart attack late Thursday night after returning from Orlando. He has had a test run and we’re currently waiting for the results.

He has also seen a kidney specialist and will have a stress test done. “He’s always been on [blood pressure] meds for high bp. Just please pray all the test come back for something we can fix. I am a total wreck, but I’m trying so hard to be positive!

Please pray for Brian, he feels horrible, and for God to please heal my husband so he can come home! Thank y’all all so much!” She then gave an update to fans and stated that his kidneys were clear. She stated that further tests will be conducted on Monday.

“Just an update. Doc just came in. Kidneys came back clear and a heart cath is scheduled for Monday and they will determine then what’s to be done. Please continue to pray for him and his doctors. And our family. Thank y’all and we love y’all!” Road Dogg is one of the many WWE Hall of Famers and legends that work for WWE.

Road’s career ended many years ago but he still kept himself relevant in the industry by showing up at various events and working backstage. He was in charge of NXT with Shawn Michaels when Triple H was not around recently.

Road’s last major appearance was at WrestleMania 31 during the Sting vs Triple H match. He appeared with all of his DX buddies to help Triple H win the match. All members of DX entered the Hall of Fame a few years ago. DX’s last match was against the Brothers of Destruction at a Crown Jewel event. DX was represented by Shawn Michaels and Triple H during the event.
