It is now official that one of the two WrestleMania 37 Main Events will see the Triple Threat Match valid for the WWE Universal Championship between champion Roman Reigns, Rated-R Superstar Edge and Daniel Bryan. Initially with Edge's victory at the Royal Rumble, for the SmackDown title, there was to be a clash between the Tribal Chief and Edge, but after the events of Fastlane, the company opted for a three-way clash with these three protagonists.
In reality, according to what was recently stated by the well-known colleague Dave Meltzer, who spoke to Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE has opted for this choice given the age of Edge with a condition and a slight deterioration in the last few weeks that have left the top management of the company perplexed.
Edge is all set to main event WrestleMania 37 as he prepares to compete for the Universal Championship.
Edge could be suspended from this week's episode of SmackDown
Surely this decision did not leave the Canadian superstar happy, who infuriated hit several times in recent days both Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns.
During the inaugural episode of Ryan Satin's podcast, Out of Character, Edge spoke of a curious coincidence that all wrestling fans have noticed. Here are his words about it: "It was pointed out to me that the second night of WrestleMania 37 is just ten years from the day I announced my retirement on Monday Night Raw.
You can't help but point out things like that." Edge talked about the injury he suffered some time ago against Randy Orton and wrote about it: "I don't know if it is right to talk about a fortuitous event, sometimes things work in a magical way and maybe this is one of them.
At Wrestlemania 37 I may finally be able to close the circle. After so many years and a long wait, I am finally in the main event of Wrestlemania 37." The latest rumors also state that Edge could be suspended (always in the storyline) in the next episode of SmackDown as a few days ago he also attacked some WWE officials.
Edge is completely done with WWE and the number of changes that have been made to his WrestleMania match. So much so, The Rated-R Superstar went unhinged and attacked everyone in sight on last week's episode of SmackDown. His attack could result in him being suspended from this week's episode of SmackDown.
Especially considering he attacked WWE officials. Do you think there will be any repercussions for The Ultimate Opportunist after what he did on SmackDown? Let us know what you think in the comments section below.
