In the latest installments of Monday Night Raw and Friday Night Smackdown, WWE has focused heavily on building the most anticipated event of the year: WrestleMania. Already from the Royal Rumble, the famous Road to Wrestlemania has begun, bringing athletes, company and fans of the WWE Universe to attend the greatest show that can be generated from the most famous stage in the entire world of pro-wrestling, with the McMahons who they work day and night on its construction, for months and months.
Two of the protagonists of the red show rings who, however, will not take part, at least actively, in the card of one of the two evenings dedicated to the Showcase of the Immortals, will be Damian Priest and John Morrison, who were both stopped by a not too serious injury, which will force them to not be able to take part in that famous tag team match that was already foreseen by Rumble, when Bad Bunny went to attack the pair of heels, compromising their result in the real fight.
New details on WrestleMania 37
While Damian Priest's condition seems to have improved considerably in the last period, John Morrison's situation does not seem to have changed, with the friend of The Miz who has been stopped by a knee injury and he will not then participate in the show of the shows.
In his latest Newsletter reported to the Wrestling Observer microphones, Dave Meltzer wanted to take stock of the John Morrison situation, confirming to fans that the injury is true and that it is more annoying and insidious than usual, with the well-known journalist who in fact stated: "The interesting thing that you have surely noticed is that when we saw it go physical, Morrison did nothing, nothing at all and the only reason this happened was because of Morrison's knee.
For that, there will be a single match and not a tag team match. Remember when Morrison hurt his knee? Walking here and there, I saw him well and moving I realized that he had a knee injury." Even if Damian Priest was completely recovered physically for WrestleMania, apparently the situation linked to Miz's partner would have remained unchanged, with the match that already sees Bad Bunny and the former WWE Champion engaged, which should therefore remain a single match, with almost certainly the two athletes not physically committed, who will, however, be present at the corner of the two, as mere moral support.
WrestleMania 37 will also see the main roster in-ring debut for Omos, as he teams up with AJ Styles to challenge The New Day for the RAW Tag Team titles. There will also be matches between Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley (for the WWE Championship), Asuka and Rhea Ripley (for the RAW Women's Championship), as well as Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks (for the SmackDown Women's Championship).
