WWE announces the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal

In recent days, many of the fans of the WWE Universe have wondered why the federation had not yet announced the annual edition of the Andrè The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, a contest for several men in which a gigantic dedicated trophy is up for grabs.

precisely in memory of the legendary giant of the McMahon family rings, who passed away far too soon, in 1993. Even the WWE Hall of Fame was established after the death of the athlete, who remained in everyone's heart for the kindness he had, despite holding the role of the unscrupulous heel on the rings of the Stamford company, with Vince McMahon who was one of his best off-screen friends.

Eventually, again this year, WWE decided to hold the usual edition of the Battle Royal which usually takes place in Wrestlemania, but with an announcement, Adam Pearce changed the venue. The Andrè The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, in fact, will not air at the Showcase of the Immortals, but in the episode of Friday Night Smackdown next week.

The Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

The annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal will take center stage as a multitude of blue brand Superstars step into the squared circle to collide for the honor of claiming this year’s coveted trophy.

With an announcement that arrived late yesterday, Adam Pearce confirmed to WWE Universe fans that the episode of the blue show that will air shortly before the Showcase of the Immortals (which will be recorded to allow the movement of the ThunderDome), will be really rich, with the multi-man contest dedicated to the memory of Andrè The Giant, which will be broadcast on FOX and not on the WWE Network, as initially hypothesized, in the kick-off of Wrestlemania.

The contestants will be Akira Tozawa, Angel Garza, Cedric Alexander, Drew Gulak, Elias, Erik, Gran Metalik, Humberto Carrillo, Jaxson Ryker, Jey Uso, Kalisto, King Corbin, Lince Dorado, Mace, Murphy, Mustafa Ali, Ricochet, Shelton Benjamin, Shinsuke Nakamura, Slapjack, T-Bar and Tucker.

If all this were not enough, the WWE through its official also wanted to confirm how another great match will become part of the blue show card on Friday night, right before the show of the shows, with a Fatal 4 Way valid for couple titles of Smackdown, which will in fact air in exactly one week.

To close the evening, however, there will be the three protagonists of one of the main events of Wrestlemania, namely Edge, Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan, who will have their last face to face before the Showcase of the Immortals, to put even more hype to the fans ahead of their Universal Championship match at Granddaddy of Them All.
