Eric Bischoff reveals interesting details about Edge

Edge returned to WWE at Royal Rumble 2020, attracting one of the loudest ovations in wrestling history (as well as one of the last pre-health emergency crowds). He then spent the rest of the year as a champion of crowds, connected from home, until 2021 which seems to have partially changed the paradigm.

His triumph at the Royal Rumble 2021 seems to have been the first chapter of a progressive hardening of his character, who is now preparing to attend the main event of WrestleMania 37 without that connotation of a hero without any blemish (even if there are no doubts about the absence of any fear).

So much so that Eric Bischoff even expressed his desire for WWE to take it one step further. In the latest episode of '83 Weeks Podcast, Eric Bischoff, freshly inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame (Class of 2021), talked about his excitement for WrestleMania 37 ahead of this weekend.

And the historic WCW and TNA executive spoke about what he'd like to see more at this year's Immortals Showcase. Starting with Edge, whose conquest of the WWE Universal Championship would be the desire at the top of Bischoff's personal list.

And that's not all, because Eric Bischoff (who was also General Manager of Edge at Raw) explained what kind of Edge he hopes to see triumphant from WrestleMania 37: "I want to see him come out triumphant, and I want to see him as the heel of all heels.

I think Edge, based on what I've seen so far, has he lost some of his luster from when he was young? I don't know, maybe. Consequently, a better performer today? I think so. So I'd like to see him win, and then start the feud between him and Roman Reigns."

Bischoff himself, however, added that he is aware of how these plans will easily not see the light: "I can tell you what I'd like to see, but I doubt it will happen. I know it doesn't make any sense from a writing point of view, but I don't know.

just what to say more than that guys. It's just an if, the classic what if. A way to catch everyone by surprise, creating a great story." Eric Bischoff recently revealed that Hulk Hogan was to induct him into the WWE Hall of Fame last year, as a surprise.

On the After 83 Weeks podcast, Eric Bischoff said he was supposed to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame last year, with the nWo. Bischoff said WWE's Bruce Prichard and Mark Carano asked him to be a part of the 2020 Hall of Fame and be in the audience.

The former RAW GM said the plan was for Hulk Hogan to bring him out from the audience and induct him into the Hall of Fame.
