CM Punk reveals biggest possible match for his WWE return

One of the heroes par excellence of the WWE Universe of the last 20 years of the federation, is that CM Punk who was very often mentioned during the WWE live shows when the federation could still afford a large audience within its arenas, with fans that in spite of the most elementary rules of respect towards wrestlers, went to sing the name of the Second City Savior even in situations that had nothing to do with him.

In recent years there has been a lot of talk about a possible return of Punk to the McMahon rings, with his arrival in WWE Backstage, a broadcast by FOX, which for a not too long period made fans of the federation hope for a possible return to fight, as well as to analyze the main shows of the federation.

CM Punk on a potential WWE return

After having also heard the words of Triple H, regarding a possible return in-ring of CM Punk, in an interview released shortly before NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver, the former thought about his own return.

WWE Champion, who surprised his fans said to Uproxx microphones: "I think the right combination may come out, but likewise it may never come up with the right one for me. It's not my world anymore. I'm certainly not Hulk Hogan, who I might reappear somewhere saying like 'no, that's not how this is supposed to go.'

The wrestling world doesn't necessarily need CM Punk and that's absolutely fine with me. Everyone seems to be going their own way in a great way. I don't know, it's like talking about ice cream flavors. I walked into an ice cream shop once and said 'Oh, this seems to be great taste.

Give me two spoonfuls', We need to wait for the right time, the right place, the right situation." In practice, according to the Second City Savior of Chicago, in the absence of these very important characteristics, his return is now understood to be moot, but like us fans of the WWE we know very well, with the Stamford-based federation, we must never say never.

As for the WWE side of things, Punk stated that the biggest match for him is probably against Triple H, although he isn't really interested in it. “From a creative mind standpoint, stepping back and looking at the landscape of everything, there are people in WWE that I have wrestled before that maybe, in a certain situation could be interesting.

There’s also the business side of things. What’s the biggest possible match for CM Punk? I think there’s Kenny Omega on the one side. And, you know, unfortunately, ironically enough, for me to go back to WWE, who’s the biggest match for me? It’s probably Triple H.

That’s ironic because it’s nothing I’m interested in. It’s just what it is. Am I going to be a businessman and say that’s the match, that’s the big-money match? Well, it’s not my money, so it’s not for me to say”.
