Over the course of the last few episodes of Monday Night Raw, WWE went to piece together several pieces of a puzzle that theoretically didn't have to go together at first. After the dissolution of the Retribution, in fact, Mace and T-Bar were left without a storyline in which to go to perform in the rings of the Stamford-based company, with Vince McMahon and associates who finally decided to insert them in the feud titled for the WWE Championship between Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley.
After seeing the twinning between MVP and the couple escaping from the ashes of the Retribution, further news emerges on what were the WWE plans, before broadcasting these programs, which apparently, (as in the last period happened very often on WWE televisions), would have been completely disrupted by McMahon and associates.
WWE changed plans for Mace and T-Bar
As the ever-present Fightful Select podcast kept us revealing online, WWE would change plans in the running regarding the new Raw team of T-Bar and Mace, with initial plans seeing them fight.
together as a real team, but not against Braun Strowman and Drew McIntyre. Although there were four different matches between the four athletes during the last two episodes of Raw, WWE intended to have the wrestlers work separately, but due to a lack of ideas, the management ended up putting them together.
seeing that despite everything, it works. If you remember well, during last week's episode of Monday Night Raw, WWE announced that for the very first time in its rings, Randy Orton would face Braun Strowman in a single match; contest that obviously never took place, as WWE opted to move Strowman into the WWE Championship feud, with Mace and T-Bar opposing the champion, Bobby Lashley and his challenger, Drew McIntyre.
We'll see how things evolve in view of Wrestlemania Backlash, which will certainly bring some kind of news to the Monday Night Raw scene, after the most anticipated event of the year, Wrestlemania, which is already history.
It was said that “there weren’t immediate plans for the Strowman-McIntyre vs. Mace & T-Bar program that we now see”. Obviously, they changed those plans around. As we previously reported, Randy Orton was in favor of working with Matt Riddle, so that rivalry was started.
Braun Strowman and Randy Orton’s match was pulled by Vince McMahon on the day of the show last week. Those two teams are facing for the second time this week on RAW.
