After last week's defeat in the Friday Night Smackdown Main Event to WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, the future of Daniel Bryan had been discussed. The WWE Universe and all the fans of this great wrestler were wondering what could be the future of the Yes Man most loved by WWE fans, maybe Raw or NXT, but, apparently, the latest rumors about the future of the wrestler they could be sensational.
It has long been rumored that Daniel Bryan's contract with WWE was due to expire in September with the wrestler who had no plans to renew it and continue full time. However, the reality of things should not be this and Bryan's future could lead to unimaginable scenarios.
Daniel Bryan has now been officially banished from SmackDown
According to Fightful Select colleague Sean Ross, Daniel Bryan's WWE contract expired last week, right after the match against the Tribal Chief. There are still no official announcements on this situation, but several wrestlers of the company have confirmed the latest rumors to Ross.
Also in the course of an interview with Keisha Hatchett of TV Line Bryan confirmed that his contract did not expire in September. Here are his words: "It's funny that people orient themselves on the date of September and think that my contract with WWE expires on that date but the reality is not this, my contract with the company does not expire in September" These statements have caused quite a stir around the WWE Universe and there is curiosity to understand the true farewell date of the wrestler.
Also at Fightful a few weeks ago Daniel Bryan talked about dreaming of fighting again in unconventional situations, perhaps making it clear that he wanted to fight for other independent companies. Daniel Bryan said goodbye to SmackDown by facing Roman Reigns in an extraordinary match where both wrestlers gave the best of themselves and did really well.
Ever since his in-ring return in 2018 after initially announcing his retirement, Bryan has been a pivotal part of the WWE roster. However, The Leader of the Yes! Movement now has other significant priorities in his life. During an interview with BT Sport last year, Daniel Bryan stated that his days as a full-time wrestler are numbered.
His focus now is on being a full-time father and a part-time performer. “I'm just kind of switching priorities in my life where for years wrestling has been kind of the key focus and all that kind of stuff," said Daniel Bryan.
"Where like, my contract is coming up soon and not to say that but we're looking at transitioning me to maybe less than a full-time wrestler. Like my time of being a full-time wrestler are numbered and I'm more going to be like a full-time dad, part-time wrestler. Wrestling is my side-job. Daddying is my most important job."
