
Rob Van Dam is a wrestler who has held twenty one titles in total across ECW, WWE and TNA, as well as many regional titles in various promotions during his career. In major promotions he is a three-time world champion, having held the WWE Championship, the ECW World Heavyweight Championship and the TNA World Heavyweight Championship once each.
He is the only wrestler to be a Triple Crown Champion of both WWE and ECW. Part of the Philadelphia promotion's Triple Crown Championship is the ECW Television Championship, of which he was the longest holder (700 days). He was also the last holder of both the European Championship and the Hardcore Championship, which he unified with the Intercontinental Championship. In ECW he was also a two-time ECW World Tag Team Champion with Sabu.
In WWE he won his first title in 2001, the Hardcore Championship, which he will conquer four times. He was also a six-time Intercontinental Champion (he ranks third after The Miz and Chris Jericho for the most reigns, tied with Dolph Ziggler and Jeff Jarrett), a one-time European Champion, a two-time WWE World Tag Team Champion ( with Kane and Booker T) and one-time WWE Tag Team Champion (with Rey Mysterio). He also won Money in the Bank in 2006 and was the only wrestler ever to hold both the WWE Championship and the ECW World Heavyweight Championship simultaneously. In 2021 he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame
He is also known as The Franchise of ECW, having been the front man from the late 1990s until the promotion went bankrupt. He was ranked #1 on Pro Wrestling Illustrated's annual Top 500 Wrestlers list in 2002, and is the only wrestler in history to win the PWI Most Popular Wrestler of the Year Award as a heel.
