WWE Raw, also known as Monday Night Raw or simply RAW, is an American wrestling television program produced by WWE since January 11, 1993 and aired in the United States every Monday night on the USA Network.
The show premiered on January 11, 1993 on the USA Network and remained there until September 25, 2000, when it moved to Spike TV. On October 3, 2005, it returned to the USA Network with a three-hour special.
The first episode took place on January 11, 1993. At the time the program was called Monday Night Raw and from March 10, 1997 to October 1, 2001 it was known as Raw Is War, a title then definitively abandoned on the emotional wave of the September 11 terrorist attacks and the invasion of Afghanistan to simply become Raw.
In July 2012, the special episode of Raw 1000 was aired, changing the Raw set, logo and initials from the following week. During the episode, AJ Lee was also appointed by Vince McMahon as general manager, then forced to resign on October 22 following and Vickie Guerrero was appointed by the WWE board of directors as supervisor. In January 2013 the special episode of Raw Roulette aired and in March the special episode Raw Old School the episode of the past.
The opening theme of the program is Greatness by Vo Williams.
