Shinsuke Nakamura

Shinsuke Nakamura is a Japanese wrestler and former mixed martial artist signed to WWE, where he performs on the Raw roster.

Nakamura is best remembered for his time in New Japan Pro-Wrestling between 2002 and 2016, where he held the IWGP Heavyweight Championship three times, the IWGP Intercontinental Championship five times, and the IWGP Tag Team Championship once. (with Hiroshi Tanahashi) and one-time IWGP U-30 Openweight Championship; he also won the G1 Climax in 2011 and the New Japan Cup in 2014.

In 2016, he moved to the United States to sign with WWE, where he captured the NXT Championship twice, the United States Championship twice, the Intercontinental Championship twice and the SmackDown Tag Team Championship once (with Cesaro); he also won the 2018 edition of the Royal Rumble match, making him the tenth wrestler in history to reach this milestone in his first participation. The winner of the 1993 edition was Yokozuna but, although he was Japanese (according to the storyline), he was actually Samoan, which makes Nakamura the first actual Japanese wrestler to win a Royal Rumble match.
