
In 1998 under the advice of booker Vince Russo, Stephanie McMahon debuted as the sweet daughter of Vince McMahon in a storyline involving McMahon and The Undertaker. The Undertaker kidnapped her in Backlash: In Your House, attempting to marry her, was interrupted by Stone Cold Steve Austin.
Turning heel in late 1999, McMahon and Triple H took over ownership of the WWF during a period known as the "McMahon-Helmsley Era".
After Triple H's final defeat at WrestleMania 32 against Roman Reigns, also losing the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, Stephanie disappeared from the scene and then returned with the new brand extension, becoming the co-General Manager of the Raw roster together with Mick Foley.
At WrestleMania 34 she teamed with Triple H to lose at the hands of Kurt Angle and Ronda Rousey in her debut, with a submission move from the latter wrestler.
On July 22, 2022, following the retirement of her father, she was named co-CEO. On 10 January 2023 she resigned to take a period of leave.
Stephanie McMahon is the daughter of WWE owner, Vince McMahon, and former CEO of the company, Linda Edwards. She has a brother, Shane, who holds executive positions but also appears on-screen.
She has been married to wrestler Paul Levesque, better known as Triple H, since October 25, 2003, with whom she has three daughters.
