Alundra Blayze, began her career as a wrestler in the American Wrestling Association, where she also captured the AWA World Women's Championship. In 1988, she became the first woman to receive Pro Wrestling Illustrated magazine's Rookie of the Year award.
In 1989, she signed a contract with Japan's All Japan Women's Pro-Wrestling, becoming the first Western wrestler to join the federation. In 1991 she moved to World Championship Wrestling, where she, under the ring name Madusa, became a member of the Dangerous Alliance, a stable headed by Paul E. Dangerously. In it she mainly played the role of Rick Rude's valet. On October 25, 1992 Dangerously fired her from the Dangerous Alliance during the Halloween Havoc event. She, however, retaliated by defeating him by count-out on November 18, 1992 at Clash of the Champions XXI.
In 1993, she moved to the rival World Wrestling Federation under the name Alundra Blayze because the owner of the federation, Vince McMahon, did not want to pay her royalties for using the name Madusa, to which she had registered the copyright. In the WWF she feuded with Bull Nakano and Bertha Faye and captured the WWF Women's Championship three times.
On the March 2, 2015 episode of Raw, she was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as Alundra Blayze.
After 23 years away from the WWE ring, Alundra Blayze enters the 20 Women-Battle Royal of the Evolution pay-per-view along with other former wrestlers of the federation.
In July 2019 she appears in the special episode of Raw Reunion, winning the WWE 24/7 Championship won by Candice Michelle moments before. Later that night, Alundra was about to throw the title in a bin, but Ted DiBiase bought it for her.
In 1999 she joined the monster truck circuit thanks to her friend Dennis Anderson. She made her racing debut at the Trans World Dome and later bought her own vehicle, naming it the Madusa.
