Jake Hager

Donald Jacob Hager, better known as Jake Hager, is an American professional wrestler and mixed martial artist signed to All Elite Wrestling. Hager is primarily remembered for his stints between 2007 and 2017 in WWE, where he performed under the ring name Jack Swagger.

In the summer of 2006, he graduated from Oklahoma University with a baccalaureate in economics and finance. After completing his studies, he interviewed for a job for a Dallas company, but after a few days he was offered a multi-year contract by World Wrestling Entertainment.

During his years at Oklahoma University, Hager played predominantly in two sports: football as a defensive tackle and amateur wrestling.

On February 19, 2013, Hager was arrested in Gulfport, Mississippi after the taping of an episode of SmackDown. The charges brought against him were: driving under the influence, speeding and possession of marijuana.

Two days after his arrest he was released with the obligation to appear in court the following 12 March. Hager was tried on June 25, 2013 in Mississippi. The trial ended with a sentence of six months of probation, the payment of a fine of 1498 dollars and the attendance of a re-education course against the use of alcohol and substances.
