Ken Shamrock

Kenneth Wayne Ken Shamrock is an American former wrestler and former mixed martial artist.

Universally recognized as one of the pioneers of mixed martial arts, Shamrock was the first holder of the UFC Superfight Championship, which later became the heavyweight title of the Ultimate Fighting Championship following the introduction of weight categories; he was also the inaugural Pancrase champion.

Shamrock also boasts an important professional wrestling career, having served in the World Wrestling Federation and Total Nonstop Action in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

In the WWF, he held the Intercontinental Championship and the World Tag Team Championship once, as well as the 12th King of the Ring Championship, while in TNA, he held the NWA World Heavyweight Championship.

In 1997, Shamrock made his World Wrestling Federation debut as a face on the February 24 episode of Raw. On March 23, he was announced as The World's Most Dangerous Man, a name given after serving as the special guest referee in the WrestleMania 13 submission match between Bret Hart and Stone Cold Steve Austin. After WrestleMania 13, Shamrock wrestled his first match defeating Vernon White in a squash match, and began a feud with Vader whom he defeated on May 11 at In Your House 15: A Cold Day in Hell.

Also in 1997, he feuded with The British Bulldog over the European Championship and on August 3 at SummerSlam, he defeated Bulldog via disqualification.
