Batista

Dave Bautista, or Batista, is an American actor and former professional wrestler best known for his stints in WWE between 2002 and 2010 and again in 2014 and 2019.

He is a six-time world champion, having held the World Heavyweight Championship four times and the WWE Championship twice; he also won the World Tag Team Championship three times (twice with Ric Flair and once with John Cena) and the WWE Tag Team Championship once (with Rey Mysterio), as well as two different editions of the Royal Rumble (2005 edition and 2014). His first reign as World Heavyweight Champion, which lasted 282 days (April 3, 2005 to January 13, 2006), is the longest in the title's history.

In August 2007 he was included among the wrestlers liable to suspension by the WWE as he was considered a customer of Signature Pharmacy, an Orlando pharmaceutical company accused of selling medicines without a regular prescription. With a statement on his official website, Batista denied any involvement in the affair, also saying that he had always tested negative in WWE anti-doping tests.

In 2010, after leaving WWE, he embarked on an acting career, appearing in several direct-to-video films. In 2012 he played his first film role in the film The Man with the Iron Fists.

He later starred in major film productions including Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), Specter (2015), Blade Runner 2049 (2017), Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), Avengers: Endgame (2019 ) and Dune (2021), Thor: Love and Thunder (2022) and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 (2023).
