As we have already told you on our website, Vince McMahon's son Shane McMahon met with AEW President Tony Khan with the stolen photo of the meeting that went viral. As if that were not enough, a few hours after the airing of AEW Dynamite Grand Slam, of which you can find the results on our website, Matt Jackson shared a photo on social media that shows him and his brother Nick with Shane McMahon in what appears to be an airport, with the description saying: "Interesting flight today."

In her most recent Moné Mag, weekly newsletter, former WWE superstar Mercedes Moné spoke of the hypothetical arrival of Shane McMahon in AEW, after she met him by accident at an airport and talked with him a little, allegedly putting him in contact with Tony Khan: "Seeing Shane’s incredible love and passion for wrestling makes me think he has a lot to do. Also makes me think that Shane is coming to AEW? I want it, and I’m sure it’s the same for the rest of the roster. Regardless of everything, it seems that Shane is just in the wrestling business. I admit that I would be sad to learn that he does not want to fight again. I know what it is to be taken away from what you love and remember how sad that made me. I guess he feels the same way."

In July 2024, PWInsider reported that Shane McMahon had been spotted at the New York City airport with Mercedes Moné, former WWE Sasha Banks and current TBS AEW Champion and NJPW STRONG. The two would have talked for several minutes about AEW, according to fans and operators present on the spot, before saying goodbye and going their own way.

Well, the confirmation came from Mercedes Moné herself in her newsletter: "After all that happened, fate has trained and when I entered the airport, I was in line at the bagel shop when suddenly I looked up, and there he is, as surprised as I am. On my first day as a double champion and as the first wrestler to do so, and as a former WWE Superstar, I see a McMahon... Wow, if that’s not the universe doing its job, I don’t know what else it could be. I’ve always loved Shane. When our eyes crossed, we looked at each other like to say, 'ARE YOU REALLY?' Our faces lit up as we talked a little and before getting on his flight, he gave me his number... the rest as they say: it’s history or maybe a mystery."

AEW Rampage: results

An AEW Rampage episode that could, under the new agreements signed between AEW and Warner Bros. Discovery, close soon and say goodbye to us permanently. It may be a new show, but it’s news that we won’t know until 2025. What we find first, by going through the highlights of the week, is that there is a lot of movement in AEW. First we saw the debut of Shelton Benjamin alongside MVP in that of Dynamite. There is also room for less pleasant news: Sammy Guevara, during the taping that precedes Dynamite, may have reported a concussion (we will let you know more as soon as there are more info).

The All Elite calendar is full of big red circles this early October. Wednesday, October 2 was a particularly important day for both the announcement of the agreement between Tony Khan’s company and Warner Bros Discovery. But it was also the fifth anniversary of the flagship show at home All Elite, Dynamite; show of which some results (you can see HERE) have massively influenced the card of the next pay-per-view event: AEW WrestleDream. Something was already on the cards, but what happened to Dynamite brings to five the total - provisional, as we know - of the matches that we will see on Saturday, October 12 in the event that will take place in Tacoma, Washington. Let’s see the situation.
