Everything has a time limit; it seems like the potential UFC heavyweight title fight between Jon Jones and Tom Aspinall is on the verge of hitting a dead end.
Dana White recently declared that in the forthcoming weeks, if nothing crystallizes, the UFC will move on from the highly anticipated bout and find Tom Aspinall someone else to fight with.
The discussions to bring this clash to fruition have been very lengthy and vague.
Jon Jones showed more interest in fighting Alex Pereira and Francis Ngannou than he ever did in facing Tom Aspinall. He feels the Aspinall fight won’t leave a significant mark on his legacy.
For Aspinall, this has always been a dream fight. It will be interesting to see who else he ends up facing if Jon Jones doesn’t show up.
