The MMA community has been debating about Francis Ngannou’s UFC return after seeing him show up to support Kamaru Usman on stage during the recent weigh-ins.
The audience pitched the idea of seeing the mega clash: Jon Jones vs Francis Ngannou – to which Jon Jones expressed firm readiness but to everyone’s disappointment the GOAT declared his retirement yesterday.
Tom Aspinall has been declared as the new champion of the heavyweight division.
Dana White isn’t strongly interested in seeing the Cameroonian fighter return. He expressed that he would be shocked to ever see him make such a move.
The heavyweight is currently fulfiling his contract with the PFL and is open to boxing clashes. It will be interesting to see if he ever returns back to the UFC.
Dana White on Ngannou’s Return
During the recent press conference, Dana White shared his honest opinion on the possibility of Ngannou’s return.
“One thing I’ve learned over the years about him — He doesn’t always mean what he says publicly, what he says behind the scenes are different than what he says publicly. I’m not a big fan. I would be shocked if he ever came back here on lots of different levels. I’m not a fan and he doesn’t always mean what he says publicly”.
