Vince McMahon's image has inevitably been damaged by the scandals that have hit him in recent years and it is no coincidence that he had to move away from WWE, despite having tried in every way to maintain a role within the company until January 2024.
When he realized that his legal troubles risked destroying even the behemoth he had created, Vince took a step back and left the Stamford’s federation in the hands of Triple H and Nick Khan. The latter have implemented a real revolution of the WWE product and have deeply deviated from the policy of their illustrious predecessor, implementing a strategy that has left everyone speechless by producing results above expectations.
At the same time, McMahon has faced an increasing number of charges, and Janel Grant's lawsuit against him has further worsened his precarious situation. The former WWE boss has ended up in the crosshairs of public opinion, he has been betrayed by his former collaborator John Laurinaitis and even his friends have been criticized.
When Vince appeared alongside The Undertaker at the Super Bowl a few months ago, the former world champion was attacked by WWE Universe because of his choice to continue his relationship with McMahon.
McMahon launched a new venture
According to reports from Justin Barrasso – top analyst for Sports Illustrated – most of the current stars on the WWE roster still admire Vince despite all the scandals that have ruined his reputation.
“Speaking with wrestlers off-the-record, there is a great deal of support for McMahon, as many note that McMahon is still held in high regard” – Barrasso explained.
He also discussed McMahon’s new company: “Those with inside knowledge are not sold on the idea that McMahon’s investment firm, 14TH & I, is going to suddenly develop television shows or movies, a process that generally takes years to materialize.”
Despite the speculations, WWE seems not to miss Vince and has shown that a change was needed to take this business into another dimension.
