Goldberg absolutely wants to end his career on his own terms and it is for this reason that he accepted the challenge of returning to the ring at 58 years old, before starting a new chapter in his life in which he will be able to spend more time together with his family.

The former world champion will make his final match next month and face one of the brightest promises on the WWE roster – Gunther – who recently recovered the World Heavyweight Championship by defeating Jey Uso on Raw after being surprised by the latter at WrestleMania 41.

The choice of Triple H and the WWE management to use 'The Ring General' as Bill's last rival makes perfect sense, considering that these two athletes had already had a brief feud at Bad Blood in the latter part of last year.

Da Man replies

It's no secret that 'Da Man' has been working very hard in recent months to get back into his best shape, but he also admitted that some injuries have slowed down his journey and that it wasn't easy to get medical clearance to return to the ring.

The WWE Hall of Famer made his first appearance on Raw a few days ago and had his first confrontation with Gunther. Several fans and insiders have criticized WWE for giving privileged treatment to Bill, who will have the chance to immediately face one of the best stars around.

Interviewed by Dan Sileo when his retirement match is getting closer and closer, Goldberg responded to all the people who criticized him with very clear words: “At 58 years old, if I have to go in there hobbled, if I have to go in there 30 pounds lighter—I don’t give a [__] because I have a point to make. And, you know, at 58 years old, can I still make that point? I don’t know. But I’m going to do my best. And my best is 99. My best—50% of me—is better than 99% of the pricks on the planet. I believe it is.”
