Kevin Owens has been away from the ring for some time and his forced stop will continue for several more months. As everyone knows, the Canadian veteran suffered a serious neck injury just before WrestleMania 41 and the doctors took longer than expected to understand the origin of his pain, considering that KO had begun to feel the first symptoms as early as mid-January.
When a diagnosis was finally made, Kevin's neck was already in very poor condition and will need surgery in the near future. Owens – who was supposed to face Randy Orton in one of the most spectacular matches of this year's 'Showcase of the Immortals' – was really heartbroken when he had to announce to WWE Universe that he would not be present at the most prestigious event of the season.

It is not clear for the moment when KO will be able to return to action, but most analysts agree that to see the Canadian again we will have to wait at least until the beginning of next year. In a recent interview, the former world champion confessed that there is no certain recovery time for such an injury and did not rule out that his in-ring career may already be over.
Triple H and WWE management had been so impressed by his performances in the first part of 2025 that they had extended his contract until 2030, tying him to the Stamford’s federation until the end of his professional career.
Although he misses the activity in the ring, Kevin is trying to enjoy his life by spending time with his family and friends.
