The comeback of Aleister Black to WWE is one of the most anticipated returns ever. The mysterious former NXT Champ returned on the April 25 SmackDown episode, more than three years after walking away into obscurity, and made it quite clear that he was all business again in very dramatic fashion.

The (special) episode was a three-hour primetime special on heels of WrestleMania 41, and it was broadcast at the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.

The scene happened in The Miz Promo where Miz was complaining about being neglected during WrestleMania. The arena lights faded out as Miz kept ranting and Black theme started playing in air. Coming out of the darkness, Black executed his trademark Black Mass spinning heel kick on Miz and shut him up with a clear message to WWE Universe. Black then proceeded to quietly sit in the middle of the ring in his legendary, cross-legged pose causing the audience to burst again in amazement and awe.

A New Chapter Under Triple H's Leadership

Black has since his reclamation been highly featured on SmackDown, interacting with best talents and featuring in major matches. It has been reported that WWE creative team has been paying attention to his good performances and merchandise sales and will be getting a major push in the next few months.

It is indicated by sources that Black is being groomed to have an upper-card position, and there are possible storylines that can help him gain a higher position within the company.

During a recent interview, Black said he was happy with current WWE leadership of Triple H and Nick Khan. He wrote about returning as coming home and he said everything was natural and good even though he was nervous at first. Black emphasized comfort of the backstage environment and the positive climate in the roster, which helped in his easy reintegration to the company.
