Samoa Joe, a widely known wrestler, recently shared his remarkable period spent with WWE during a Q & A session at Terrificon. Joe is considered a powerful performer with deep technical abilities and in-ring psychology-marc, so much so that his WWE’s NXT demanding journey had so many climaxes and even depressions, which made him one of the best in the field.
Joe’s search in WWE was a little missing including an appearance that lasted a few minutes at WrestleMania where he had a match against Rey Mysterio, which was a very short match. However, NXT is where he really managed to capitalize on his earning opportunities by thrice capturing the NXT title, setting a record. Interestingly, he argued that he had only lost the title on two occasions. Wisely, WWE released him from the contract two times on a single year, while he was still with them, the second release was a stairway to AEW in 2022.

For Joe, recalling what it felt to be the NXT Champion, surely the first victory he earned with Finn Balor in 2016 at a live event stands out the most. That moment, which took place against the backdrop of no television cameras, was within a larger effort to increase the drama in NXT’s outré events. “No, I think it was one of the most brilliant things that we did,” - Joe recalled. Nevertheless, Joe's loss for the second time as NXT champion learnt during Shinsuke Nakamura’s reign came at a live event in Osaka, Japan. This is the opposite of what Nakamura did in Japan, his victory was telecast that focuses Nexus title fights to the audiences that span nations and oceans.
